New old chair

We fancied up this chair over the weekend. It was our first attempt at recusing furniture. It's our new computer chair and we love it! No more huge, heavy, kitchen table chair at the computer, yay! We still need to paint the off white for a more polished look but that can wait.

It's Valentine's Day!

You can read the title of this post, "It's Valentine's Day", as if you were saying "It's Groundhog's Day" (from the movie Groundhog's Day). Groundhog's Day is what Valentine's Day has started to feel like around here. Ryan has been out of town working the last 3 of 4 Valentine's Days. But he more than makes up for it before, during and after he gets back. This year he had all kinds of secret presents for us, for Valentine's Day and just because. He's so great!!!

It's tradition for me to take pictures of me and the kids on Valentine's Day (and St. Patrick's Day). I don't know why I do it, probably because they are non major holidays and I wouldn't have pictures otherwise. So here are some pictures, past and present. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Happy Valentine's Day from Penny and Graham!

Valentines Day 2013 Yes, I am wearing my Valentine's shirt (2 years in a row). Bunnies with hearts in the middle, kinda weird but whatever.

There was a meltdown during our group shot, this was the best we could do.

McCall weekend

Last weekend we went up to McCall for the Winter Carnival. It was a quick trip but it was a fun mini family vacation.
Apparently we've got some serious kids.

Right before we headed out snowshoeing.

All tuckered out.

I'm 27, what?!

I know, 27 isn't old, I'm not saying it is. But in my head I still think "oh yeah I'm in my early 20s" and then I'm like, "Umm, Tess you are actually in your later 20s." And then someone rings the gong in my head and I'm like "where did the last 5 years go?!"
Here is what 27 looks like as of today.
Sometimes I feel silly thinking that I took a picture of myself just for the sake of documenting what I look like but then I remember that most of the pictures I take are of the kiddos and years from now I might start to wonder what I used to look like. Hence, the self portrait.
Here is what 27 looks like with a 3 year old nose picker. Keeping it classy one photo at a time.
It has already been a great day! Just had a lunch date with the husband at our favorite restaurant in town, Old Chicago. Here's to another great year! I just painted my fingernails blue! I haven't painted them any color in the last 5-6 years, I already feel younger :)

Penny 9 months old

Penny is growing up. She is already 9 months old! But according to the doctor's office at her appointment today she was 12 months old. Luckily I realized they thought that and was able to stop them before they gave her 12 month shots. Here are her stats: weight 14lbs. 13oz. (3.59%) and height 26 1/4 inches (6.32%).

Teeth: 0
Crawling: Yes, more like worming around, she still lets her belly drag, but she is fast.
Eating: She loves Multi Grain Cheerios and Graham crackers and most any kind of baby food but especially banana.
Sleeping: She takes two awesome naps during the day (2-3 hours each) and wakes up once at night.
Toys: She loves Hot Wheels, books, babies, and whatever Graham is playing with.
Talking: She says "da da da" and "ma ma ma" and spits and blows bubbles.

She loves her brother Graham, he on the other hand has become a little more annoyed with her now that she is mobile but she is just becoming more resilient with each push and tackle. We love you Penny bow!

Our happy little girl!
Graham at 10 months. I think they look a lot alike in these pictures.

December Festivities

December was full of fun! We took a ton of pictures, enjoy!

We made and frosted sugar cookies.
This is his "cheesy" smile.
He also covers his eyes when the flash is bright.

We decorated the Christmas tree.

We went to a Christmas party. And the boys wore matching bow ties.
Graham made a Christmas tree (ice cream cone) with his Gma and Gpa Smith.

We put together a ginger bread house, while watching "Elf".
Ryan had a birthday!
We went downtown and caught the last day of the street market until Spring.

Graham enjoyed donuts from the market while listening to some street performers.
We took a ton of pictures in matching Christmas jammies.
Apparently the hug got a little long for Penny.

All ready for church.
Penny Santa on Christmas Eve.
Graham got basketball and baseball cards.
And a "high" hoop.
Graham was a happy boy Christmas morning.
December was a great month. Sorry for the picture over load.
